Dutch Pilot

The Dutch pilot exists of three sub-pilots, called scenarios.
a) First scenario: Quality differentiation by using Digital Rights Management (DRM)
b) Second scenario: In house recommendations for HbbTV and CTV apps
c) Third scenario: HbbTV as a central interface for second screen competition

German Pilot

RBB (Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg) and IRT (Institut für Rundfunktechnik) organised and conducted the German pilot. The pilot had two target groups: the transmedia format “verknallt & abgedreht” (~ “crushed and captured”) presented multimedia content on complementary channels – TV, website, HbbTV and Social Media –  to a young audience, while the TVAppGallery aimed at supporting broadcasters and TVApp developers in their collaboration towards a richer TVApp market.

Spanish Pilot

TVC (Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals), together with i2CAT and Retevisión (Abertis Telecom), is participating in the pilot carried out in the region of Catalonia (Spain), which aims to deploy multi- camera video services in High Defini- tion on two different networks. First, Anella Audiovisual is an advanced network in Catalonia managed by i2CAT, which interconnects several key Catalan companies including TVC.
