The TV-RING project collaborates with the first edition of the Hackathon CCMA, which will take place the 2nd and 3rd of May 2014. This will be a 24 hours continuous event fully dedicated to develop interactive projects for Connected TV.
The CCMA Hackathon proposes the challenge to create projects
capable of linking mobile devices with Connected TV. The organizers will provide participants with various resources such as tools, APIs or databases to help them to develop the proposed service. The project will explore the potential of interactive television and multi-screen during 24 intense hours. The services thematic is open, with only one requirement: the TV screen should be linked in some way with a mobile device (phone or tablet).
The winning project prize is of €1.500, festival passes for Sonar 2014 and passes for 4YFN 2015. There will be also prizes for special categories offered by Samsung and Abertis Telecom: Best project based in Smart TV, a Smart TV; Best project based in the HbbTV environment, a HD HbbTV set-top-box for each team member. Also, in the case of HbbTV applications, the winners will have the chance to test their applications with real users under the pilot of the TV-RING project (https://www.tvring.eu).
The competition is open to all and must register in teams of 2 to 5 people.
